LAVENDER SPRINGS SPA... A study in Psalms

What a luxurious weekend the ladies enjoyed together this fall at our annual retreat together!  The Second Star venue on Kachemak Drive in Homer was the perfect spa retreat for our theme. 

Our Pastor's wife Karen Taylor did a spectacular job of coordinating the event and making us all feel welcome.  Athena Edens prepared an amazing spread of healthy and delicious meals in the gourmet kitchen.  Lenore and Claire Swanson, Sharon Schultz, and Kathy Beachy led intimate worship before our sessions together in the cozy theater.  Mekeisha Smith, Erin Briscoe, and Toni Ross challenged us with heartfelt studies in the Psalms of praise, lament, and thanksgiving, with plenty of sessions for small group interaction and prayer.  Our God is such a personal God Whose love endures FOREVER!

We were spoiled with spa and massage opportunities in the pool wing, Turkish bath and saunas, tea parties, beach walk, movie in the theater, a game of Rummy-O in the breakfast nook, manicures, and all-night conversations and dreams in Neverland.  What a treasured time in connection as women of God!
